We are grateful to have resumed our workshops with the Worldview Series, a training designed to help us think carefully about the ideas shaping our culture and congregations.
In our recent sessions, our instructor began by defining what we mean by “worldview” and helping participants understand how deeply our understanding of the world influences how we interpret Scripture, ministry, and daily life. We were challenged to consider what is shaping the thinking of our churches and communities, and to articulate clearly what constitutes a distinctly Christian worldview.
The workshop also addressed some of the prominent worldviews influencing Malawi today, including Roman Catholicism and Islam, evaluating them in light of Scripture and contrasting them with biblical Christianity.
The engagement has been encouraging, and we pray that these workshops will continue to build anticipation for the launch of our formal academic programme.
