About CAPA
Central African Preaching Academy exists to exalt Christ and strengthen His church in Africa by training pastors to understand, live out, and effectively communicate God’s Word. Founded in 2014 and now operating under the joint oversight of International Bible Fellowship Church, Grace Bible Church, and Reformation Bible Church, CAPA is committed to developing servant-leaders who will faithfully handle God’s Word and shepherd His people across Central Africa.

Looking Forward
Having received Provisional Registration from Malawi’s National Council for Higher Education, CAPA is preparing to resume formal degree programs as we pursue full accreditation. Our goal is to offer biblically faithful, academically rigorous training at the diploma and master’s levels, equipping men who will plant churches, strengthen existing congregations, and train the next generation of pastoral leaders throughout Central Africa.
Through God’s grace and the partnership of faithful churches, CAPA continues advancing the cause of Christ by preparing men to preach His Word with clarity, conviction, and courage.

Informal Training
In partnership with International Bible Fellowship, Grace Bible Church, and Reformation Bible Church, CAPA delivers long-term leadership training for church leaders across Lilongwe. Our sustained program strengthens five core areas: Scripture knowledge, biblical interpretation, teaching skills, ministry philosophy, and Christ-like maturity.
Workshops and Conferences
CAPA hosts an annual conference designed to equip pastors and Bible teachers by modeling expository preaching methodology. Additionally, we offer targeted workshops that focus on specific areas of ministry training, including biblical book surveys and theological discussions on key doctrinal topics.
Theology Studies by Extension
In partnership with Central Africa Baptist University (CABU), CAPA extends theological training to pastors serving in remote regions of Malawi. Our programs are specifically designed for ministry leaders who cannot access traditional formal education due to language barriers, geographical distance, ongoing pastoral responsibilities, or financial constraints.
Current
Ministry
Today, CAPA serves the church through comprehensive informal training programs including pastoral workshops, conferences, and modular courses. Operating under the collaborative leadership of three like-minded churches in Lilongwe, whose pastors are graduates of TMAI institutions, we are strengthened by this partnership of churches that share our vision for biblical fidelity.
